Version 1.1 released............ *yawn.*


Yep. 1.1's released, as promised, not on time, early by 30 minutes... Yada yada, let's just cut to the chase.

So, what's new?

Well, I'm just gonna copy and paste from the previous two devlogs, then write some more stuff...

  • Fixed a couple of grammar mistakes.
  • Fixed a Geneva Convention violation.
  • Death handler wasn't fixed, so we decided to use the standard game over screen.... yeah. We just gave up, as usual.
  • Added an assault rifle (Niko will get a funny nickname if they have it equipped)
  • Added snow to the Barrens (as a fun event)
  • Oh, also, we ported (by ported i mean we sorta recreated it) the 2016 cafe to this game. Not perfect at all, but hey, it's an RMXP map, ported to remade in a game made in the RM2k3 engine. (fun event, again)
  • I think we added a fox, i dunno, i don't double check.
  • When shopping, shop music will play.
  • Nick has a new battle theme.
  • To all my EasyRPG homies, the game will now come with an EasyRPG.ini file in the root folder.
  • A copy of the DOGVERSE.VHS Development Handbook will now come with every download of DOGVERSE.VHS v1.1. Of course, if you don't want to download the game, but want the handbook for some reason, here you go. 
  • (update 9/4/24) One thing i forgot to mention, your party members will now display certain status effects on screen (currently 2, death and hunger)


I think... I think that's all... Not a big update, but hey, it's an update nonetheless. An update is better than no update. Vaporwave... yada yada.
