A downloadable simulation for Windows

Major spoilers for Oneshot (solstice and freeware included), Undertale(?), and many, many other games.

Short description (and background lore)

A dog-like being was on his way to Walmart, one way leads to another, and now he's accidentally ended up in OneShot's world.

Basically OneShot if it was a typical boring and unoriginal kusoge RPG, with nothing original about it.

Honoring 10 years of Oneshot's original freeware release.

is it really? you decide.

Me and dogewoz challenged ourselves to work together and make a particularly foul, kusoge, yet at the same time perfectly fine game. This is our result. I hope you enjoy.

this is really just a passion project made for fun
(if you have a better name for this game let us know lol)

Featuring

A dog-like being that you control.

(named Jerry. not to be confused with Jerry from Undertale)

Basic party system (and combat system)

(literally just oneshot's normal party system, mixed with the standard boring rpg maker 2003 battle system)

Niko and friends.

Niko and friends. For some reason, they all can do magic, except the dog.

Maps from the original 2014 release, and other worlds...

You're no longer limited to Oneshot's world, go crazy.

Cat puns

They're really bad, trust us.

Proto? Cedric? No, they're both busy, sorry.

SAVING... yeah, ironic, isn't it?

This fangame includes SAVE files, something which Oneshot doesn't have....

(YES I AM AWARE OF BEDS IN ONESHOT, THEY DON'T COUNT.)

References to Undertale (and it's funny fangame sequel, Undertale 2)

and.. most of all...

Enemies! (ranging from greek letters to other beings.)

we're too lazy to do actual enemy sprites.

If that hasn't convinced you to download, I don't know what will!

Some warnings & notes

This game has some profanity (not too excessive), and loud sounds (can be toggled off when you start the game). This game also has some squares, and secrets. This game may unsettle you, maybe?????
But one thing's for certain, this game will infuriate you.

Unlike Freeware Oneshot, this game cannot do anything to your computer, like changing the wallpaper, or creating documents. (I know, what a shame.)

Based off of the original 2014 freeware release of Oneshot. You don't need vanilla Oneshot to play this game, because we literally ripped it open, and harvested the files.

This isn't original. What'd you expect, a high quality shitpost game? We literally haven't made a game before, hence why the quality is so low. Don't worry, expect more low quality kusoge stuff from us ;)

I must make it clear, this fangame isn't canon to Oneshot's canon. This fangame is meant to stay as close to the original canon, but can assume stuff. So take the events of this game with the smallest grain of salt.

It's always safe to close the game's window, that is, if you have SAVED.

For legal reasons, this is a parody fangame. A FANGAME! I don't intend on making any money off of this! OneShot is the property of Futurecat and Team Oneshot, and any other brands mentioned in this game belongs to their respective owners. I do not claim anything, nor am I trying to defame anyone or any brand. Fair use, parody law, all of that. Now please have mercy on us. Again, to reiterate, i'm not taking any money off of this, this is mostly meant as a fun hobby game. Please go support the creators of Oneshot, because they made a really coooll game. Seriously, do it now. If you already did, go do it again. buy it again for yourself, or as a nice birthday gift for a friend. Tell them to go in blind. haha purple text funny If you're on a console, it doesn't really matter. By order of the President of the United States of America**, you are hereby ordered to play the original game, NOW!

Now, now.

There is no need to sue.

Why not settle this...

... over a nice cup of tea?

(?) = if you count the game over easter egg as a spoiler, then yeah

(**) = This is apart of a satirical joke. The President of the United States did not actually tell you to buy Oneshot. But you really should do it, even if the President didn't tell you to. Not that they were going to in the first place.

Install instructions

Windows users :

Unzip the ZIP file, go into the "dogverse" folder, and look for "RPG_RT.exe". This is the game executable. Without it, there would be no game.

The RPG_RT.exe executable. Run this to run the game.

Windows - If you're updating from an older version :

You can move your saves from the old version to the new one.

  1. Download the new version from here.
  2. Go into the old version's game directory, and look for *.lsd files. These are your save files.
  3. Move all of the save files into the new version's game directory

If you did everything correctly, the newer version should be able to detect your old save files. Note : Your save may or may not carry over correctly. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Look for this. These are your save files.

Android users :

While it is not recommended, it is possible to play this game on Android.

  1. Download the ZIP file, but do not unzip it.
  2. Download EasyRPG from the Play Store, and set up EasyRPG first.
  3. Place the ZIP file in EasyRPG's "games" folder.

You should be done. Please note this game was primarily intended for Windows, and uses the maniacs patch, which EasyRPG does not fully support at the moment.

Android - MIDI soundfont issue :

This game uses MIDI music files. On EasyRPG, they might not play without a soundfont. Here's a fix:

  1. Search for a MIDI soundfont. The default Windows soundfont is recommended, but really, any soundfont will do.
  2. You should now have a *.sf2 file. Place this file in EasyRPG's "soundfonts" folder.
  3. You're done.

Android - Updating from an older version :

  1. Refer to step 1 of the Android install instructions.
  2. Place the newly downloaded version's ZIP file into EasyRPG's "games" folder. (and run the game at least once for EasyRPG to create a saves directory for the new version)
  3. Go into your "saves" folder, look for the old version's directory, and look for any *.lsd files.
  4. Move all of these files into the new version's directory in the "saves" folder.

If you did everything correctly, the new version should now pick up on your save files. Now you can play on the go on a fresh new version. Of course, who would really do that.

Linux? MacOS?

I don't really have any plans to port this to Linux or MacOS. Then again, I'm pretty sure Wine will work (depending on your distro or OS X version). If it doesn't work, then I'm not sure. There won't be any support for Linux or MacOS, you're pretty much on your own, good luck lol
